"Photoshop 3D Effects and More!" WIth Corey Barker

At our April 1st Meetup, Corey Baker will highlight numerous and unusual ways you can use the 3D features in Photoshop Extended to create stunning effects for any designer - both traditional 2D as well as those interested in learning more about 3D capabilities. Enhance your work and make it that much more interesting by employing these additional Photoshop features! This is just the tip of the iceberg with 3D in Photoshop and every new version is going to bring something new to the mix. Now is the time to really grab hold of these bold new features and make them work for you. Corey Barker is a content developer for Kelby Media Group and Executive Producer of the popular tutorial site Planet Photoshop. He is also co-host of the the hit podcast Layers TV and makes occasional appearances on Photoshop User TV. Corey is also the co-author of the recent Photoshop CS4 Down & Dirty Tricks book and featured instructor for the Down & Dirty Tricks seminar tour. Corey has also taught at events like Photoshop World and Adobe MAX. Our raffle last meeting in March was such a great success, we will also be serving pizza and drinks. Don't miss the one! We look forward to seeing you! Marie / Johanna / Luke / Zorana Photoshop Till You Drop Group Managers

Sorry I missed this one. I'm eager to learn expand my 3D skill-set, and hope that there will be another similar meeting soon. Are there any videos or assets from the meeting online that I can view?

I learned alot. Wanted it to be longer than one hour. I am a photographer now doing primarily video and want to see him full animate the piece.

Would be nice to have a little more time at the end to socialize, but I do understand the limitations.

Honestly I'm not sure how much I got I can actually use as a photographer. I know I've seen that Ring of Fire demo before - maybe on Photoshop TV. Having the demo files available, like on the local network, would have been helpful. I've done very little 3D so I would have benefited from a slower walk-through of how to set up a 3D file and access the tools. Corey's skills are great, presentation was tight, on topic and he's fun to watch and listen to even if it shot right over my head.

Good direct instruction , 5 demo in a hour. good speaking and teaching style . easy to understand.

Good prep. by speaker to prepare file beforehand. Less waste of user time , and less waste of time on casual talk.

I was hoping for something that would apple more to photographers not designers.

Unfortunately, it's more than I need to know about 3D

Decent ideas. A little dry presentation tonight though.

Interesting...fascinating...astonishing to know all that stuff could be done on Photoshop.
On the other hand, the guy moved so fast that I was completely lost after 5 minutes.
After 30, I was completely saturated and ready to leave.

...Everybody needs training with the mike. Very hard to hear and I wasn't very far back.

I've heard Corey talk on several occasions with Scott Kelby and his bunch. Always a fun time and great learning experience... He makes things look SO dang simple when HE does it! :)

Corey's a great speaker and has a wealth of knowledge...

Corey is a very polished presenter. Didn't think I'd ever use 3D. I've changed my mind. No small thanks to Corey for that.

THanks PhotoSpace for the pizza donation. Yum!

This will be a good one! Corey is great and showing how you can create cool 3D and 2D design effects. Stan - he will mostly be talking about 3D in PS. I'd be interested to hear how you use anaglyphs - in PS?

SF is a bit far for me on Thu. Is there a remote facility setup? If so, let me know the detail.

Curious which kind of 3D you are talking about. I am assuming 3D modeling and not anaglyph 3D, which is my major interest.

Anyone at Adobe playing around with anaglyphs?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
