Hi Alex:

I saw this on craigslist.org and thought about your situation regarding the stolen hard drives:

The post itself looks suspicious. The posting is for a Western Digital Hard Drive 2 TB and without packaging. I hope you catch the thief!

Hi,

My car was broken into on September 18, 2011 around 6:05 PM. The
entire incident was recorded on a nearby security footage. The burglar
took several hard drives, a laptop, and other misc stuff. Although the
burglary was recorded, there is no way to get the things back.

My backup drives had failed. I was worried about fire hazards and I
carried those hard drives with me. There is no backup available at
this time.

I have my life long work on it. I've a lot of unpublished copyrighted
work along with my videos for 10 years on it.

I am extremely depressed. I need help.

These are the two important hard drives:

1. Western Digital 2TB - 3.5" Internal
2. Seagate 1.5TB - 3.5" Internal

These drives can be installed in an external USB enclosures like
NexStar or Rocketfish.

The burglars will try to sell it online. They may also try to sell it
on streets in the Bay Area. Can you contact me if anyone tried to sell
these hard drives on streets or on the Internet? If you've already
bought those hard drives, please let me know. I'll pay for it.

Thanks in advance.

Alex

P.S. It's not okay to contact me about online backup services.
Sometimes I think, that online backup services don't want burglaries
to stop.
