The Classic Hollywood Portrait - a hands-on workshop

The Classic Hollywood Portrait with strong contrasting  tones is one of the iconic images of the last century. Come along to this totally hands-on session and learn how to re-create this look in the studio.

We will have one or more models on hand to pose as we re-create the 1940's Hollywood look using some complex lighting styles.  Grids, snoots, gobos, flags and lighting ratios will all come into play as we attempt to imitate the traditional look.

This class is suitable for those who already have a basic understanding of lighting whether that is with spotlights or studio lights and are comfortable with manual  camera settings.  All lighting and remote triggers will be provided.   (Please note that owners of Sony cameras will need to have a flash hotshoe adapter that converts the hotshoe to a standard fitting) .

The class will begin at 10am and run until 4pm   (or later if we are not finished)

The class is limited to just six people and the cost is $150

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
