Full weekend of portraits - and more- a hands-on workshop

If you missed the fantastic weekend of portrait shooting with Karina here is a chance to book your space.  This time we will cover not only the Hollywood style portraits at which Karina is absolutely fabulous but we will also cover several other styles from casual to fashion.

In addition there will be expert and detailed instruction on portrait shooting, lighting and posing techniques that you will rarely find available in a local workshop.

Finally there will be a strict limit of just four participants so that you will not only get  lots of individual instruction but also hours of time to shoot.

This is suitable for beginners and all you need is a digital SLR camera with a lens. Lighting, triggers and other equipment will be provided.

Finally, the whole weekend is just $275,

(Payment plans and scholarships may be available. - contact Ian for details)

The Classic Hollywood Portrait with strong contrasting  tones is one of the iconic images of the last century. Come along to this totally hands-on session and learn how to re-create this look in the studio.

We will have Karina on hand to pose as we re-create the 1940's Hollywood look using some complex lighting styles.  Grids, snoots, gobos, flags and lighting ratios will all come into play as we attempt to imitate the traditional look.

This class is suitable for beginners and  those who already have a basic understanding of lighting whether that is with spotlights or studio lights and are comfortable with manual  camera settings.  All lighting and remote triggers will be provided.   (Please note that owners of Sony cameras will need to have a flash hotshoe adapter that converts the hotshoe to a standard fitting) .

The class will begin at 10am and run until 4pm on each day.    (or later if we are not finished)

The class is limited to just four people and the cost is $275

I don't suppose anyone is interested in splitting this and taking the Sunday portion while I take Saturday? I work Sun - Thurs, so I am only available Saturday.
