Coming Up Soon at Photography Workshops

It has been a whirlwind few days with studio lighting classes, a Hollywood style portrait shoot, a class on handling selections in Photoshop and a full day trip with an ardent group of photographers who braved the cold to travel all the way New York City for a day of waking and photography along the “High Line”, and around Greenwich Village, the East Village and the storm ravaged South Street Seaport district.

But we also have some fascinating and challenging workshops happening very soon.

Over the coming weekend we have an image critique night on Friday, the ever popular Composition workshop on Saturday and a very advanced flash class on Sunday.

Over the Easter Weekend we get outdoors on Saturday for a very challenging “develop your eye” workshop in the morning,  followed by a more leisurely spring stroll through Boston in the afternoon.

If you are looking to really expand and develop your skills  then why not grab the last place on the Spring Photo-School series starting in April 12.

You  can find more details below or click on any of the highlighted links above:

Image Critique Night

 Friday Mar 22 at 7.30pm in Pembroke  - $20

Having your image constructively critiques in a wlee organized and non-threatening group situation is one of the surest ways to improve the strength of your image making.

Composition Workshop

Saturday March 23  10am – 3pm  in Boston  - $50

An image without from and structure is like a novel without a plot.

Come along and stretch your composition skills in this small but challenging workshop

Beyond  advanced flash

Pembroke Studio Sun Mar 23  10 – 3    $65

If you have been to the flash class and understand the nature of light, and how to balance light between the background and the subject, then come along and learn some additional ways to master your flash.

Develop Your eye

Boston 10am – 1pm Sunday Mar 30  $40

The really great photographers had access to exactly the same equipment as their peers but what set them apart was their eye. They found it possible to see the potential for a great photograph but  the rest of us don’t quite observe what is around us in quite the same way. We can however, improve our seeing skills and take steps to develop our eye.  Come along and find out how.

And if you do the class then why not make a day of it and follow it up with the afternoon guided Spring Photo-shoot below.

Early Spring in Boston  Saturday Mar 30   3pm -  dusk  $35

It is spring and we should be outside shooting – but not  just shooting aimlessly,  but rather doing so in a directed and intentional manner.  Come along to this leisurely stroll around Boston with a small group  as we tackle some challenging and interesting photography exercises.   There are just two posts left.

Spring Photo School    Just one spot left!

Runs  April 12 – May 10   $675  (Payment Plans available)

A series of six intensive workshops covering the key skills you need to tackle some of the common photographic tasks. In a very small group (just 6) you will get lots of attention and expert instruction on topics such as composition, macro photography, portraits, and camera control.  Spread over six self-contained workshops (three Friday Evenings and three full Sunday workshops) the series will really build up your skills level.  Check it out and grab the last remaining space at:
