Selections, Masks and Composites   Friday Evening workshop Mar 15 Pembroke 7.30-10pm

One of the most often asked questions about using Photoshop is "how can I successfully select and then, move or remove an object or face from an image ?" This is a great question because selecting and re-arranging image elements in a realistic looking manner is one of the most tricky things to accomplish.

In this workshop Ian will teach you the skills you need to be able to successfully complete selection tasks, covering such topics as :

    • How to cut-out a person from one image and place them in front of a new background –( Ian will show you the methods he uses to handle the fine detail of hair.)
    • How to replace a sky in a landscape.
    • Move an object from one part of an image to another.
    • How to master the many selection and refining tools.
    • How to save and load selections.
    • How Feather and anti-alias affect the result.
    • Use of the Quick Mask.
    • Selecting by color range.
    • Selecting by tone.

Ina has been using Photoshop since it fist appeared he continues to use it almost daily in his work as a photographer. According to his students he has an uncanny ability to take the complex and make it appear simple.   This workshop is suitable for all levels and many of the skills will appy to both the full version of Photoshop and also to Photoshop elements.
