Biking Fun and Food

This ride will be a 14 mile loop, with about 5 miles of pavement and 9 miles of dirt. Starting at Sumida park and a nice warm up along the canal to 7th ave, then north to mountain view park. From there we hit the dirt, taking trail 100 east to the 7th street visitor center. We'll rest there, then continue on 100 to Dreamy Draw, then back to Sumida park.

Once back, we'll secure our bikes, then walk across the street to Aunt Chilada's for some free Mexican food. (with the purchase of a beverage)

Time on trail is about 3 hrs. including rest stops.

Meet 1:15 pm and roll 1:30 pm

Pace will be casual/social with frequent rest stops.

Beginner+ level okay if you are willing to walk sections you are not comfortable riding and can ride at least 15 miles.

Remember to bring 2 -3 qts. of water and a cliff bar or two, and a spare tube.

See map link for directions to Sumida park, and park on the side of the road near the North West corner of the park.

Since I don't have a mountain bike I guess I have to decline participating in this ride.

If you want to try mtn biking, Yeti cycles will have a demo day in January. You can try their bikes on the short 3 mi. loop. Cost is only $6 to get in to the park. I will post a meetup for it.. :-)

Only for the pavement part. (up to mountain view park) If you want to do the whole loop, you will want to be on a mountain bike.
