If you are interested in the Internet of Things, then we are the group for you. Pi Masters is a meetup organized to encourage people of all ages and levels to come together to learn about and experiment with building and coding digitally enabled devices, specifically using the Raspberry Pi, but also using such platforms as Arduino, BeagleBone and the like.
All these platforms are affordable (Raspberry Pi runs around $35), readily available, small in size (just around 2” by 3”), and easy to use. Real world projects will include working with both hardware and software to make such things as home alarm systems, media players, hydroponic gardens, and birdhouses that take photos of birds and upload them on Twitter.
Pi Masters is organized by Multi Platform Media and Multi Platform Labs and is not endorsed, sponsored or formally associated with the Raspberry Pi Foundation, but we do share their goals. We are dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, age, race, religion, favorite programming language and operating system, or any other personal attribute.
