Introduction

My name is Robert. I am a the father of one awesome little guy named Troy. I am always looking for new places to take him. I like to play board games and role playing (Savage Worlds is my new favorite.) I also like to shooting at clay pigeons.

What is your connection to the Philippines/Filipino culture?

Kumusta, I am Robert. I am not new to the area, but I am new to Filipino culture, language, and food. I have been working with a group of order managers located in Taguig City, and they have all become my good friends. I even took my vacation to Manila last summer (yeah...our summer, so their wet season) and fell in love with the food and more. I am working on learning Tagalog (I already speak English and Spanish...so I am 2/3 of the way there.) I would love to get together, make new Filipino friends, eat adobo, watch ShowTime, and get more exposure to the culture and the language. Also, I am engaged to an awesome woman who lives in Manila at the moment. When she comes here, I would love for her to have a place to connect and feel a part of the community.

What qualities will you bring to enhance our group culture?

Let's see...I'm fun. Lot's of people say that I'm funny. I never borrow money from others. I'm a good listener. I am adventurous (in that I like to try new things...not adventurous as in willing to jump off of cliffs.) I am respectful...and I am not here to "pick up chicks."

What brings you joy?

I like watching football. I enjoy playing games. I love a good time with friends and family. Joy, however, true joy comes to me in two packages: my fiance and a 3'3" 44 lb little boy (my son, Troy.)
