How did you find us?

A general Meetup notice alerting me to this group's existence; have been part of some other meetings/groups including one for autism advocacy, another, metaphysical & spiritual discussions.....

Are you new to Karaoke, or have you been doing it for a while?

Nope - as I mentioned in my bio, first started 'singing to the monitor' (and, with it, increasingly the CROWD) in November 1991 at Bogey's in Agawam; first song attempted (with VERY mixed results!): "No Time" by the Guess Who.....since then, I've added around 300 more or so, favoring Sixties and mostly Seventies stuff, but not completely limited to those decades either - done a lot of funk, soul, alternative, oldies, metal, hard and classic rock from every era after the Fifties - have my reliable 'standards' but, suspect I may be a bit RUSTY after such a layoff! Am working on a massive music CD (and eventually, flash drive) anthology spanning from[masked] so, there's probably still NO shortage of songs I'd be psyched to see were licensed for karaoke! My regular haunt had been the World War II Club in Northampton for a LONG while, but have probably seen the inside of another 30-40 places as well in that time, including 2nd On 2nd in Lower Manhattan.....

Hi! I'm Jim, and up until 2 years ago I had been doing karaoke on a steady basis for 2 decades, but am looking to get back AT it with some cool people!
