The Pirates of Liberty was formed for Agorists/Voluntaryists/Market Anarchists who want to meet each other and socialize.  The focus is on establishing personal and business relationships.

We treasure:

  • Irreverence
  • Good food, drink and music
  • Self-ownership and full control of your private property
  • The non-aggression principle, especially when followed to its logical end.  Hint hint.
  • ACTUAL free markets.  This means free from aggressive violent government intervention (economic gangsterism)
  • Assorted pirate activities such as running contraband, sailing, and surfing

We skewer:

  • Paying attention to or participating in politics.  This includes beggin' strips (voting)
  • Masturbatory and pointless discussions over the minutiae of libertarian theory
  • Worship of pieces of paper.  The U.S. Constitution comes to mind
  • Any involvement with or support of dangerous violent death cults, such as the U.S. military.
  • Any involvement with or support of dangerous violent gangs, e.g. most local police depts.
  • Use of statist language or newspeak, e.g. when minarchists talk about "voluntary taxes"
  • Anti-immigration bigots.  The act of moving is not a real crime, end of story.
  • Any over eagerness to psychologize those you disagree with

 

Let it be absolutely clear that this in not an outreach group. The purpose of this group is not to convert anyone, build a libertarian "big tent" or any other such nonsense. This group is for those of you that have already arrived at Agorism/Voluntaryism/Market Anarchism.

Congratulations on making the trip and finding your way. Now you get to live with the reality that the world is an even crazier nut-house than previously thought, yay!  Alas, take heart me hearties, we'll be here to laugh at and with you, and maybe help drown ye sorrows in a hearty mug of mead.
