Nope. It's been a *long* time since I've actually been banging out code.
N/A for me personally, but I'd prefer to move to a Ruby on Rails platform for the current application.
Yep. Everything is ready. Just need to add people. ;-)
My company has been involved with various iterations of route planning and optimization for quite awhile. Our current product - Headlight Route Planner - has evolved over several years and services a handful of markets. Along with the web application, we offer Professional Services (consulting, training and development) for larger clients. About a year ago, I really wanted to make the product widely available to a larger audience and launched a Google Adwords campaign. There's about 5 million small businesses in the US alone using vehicles to fulfill local delivery or services. It's really difficult to plan and manage routes using the tools that are currently available. The good news was there was a *ton* of signups. The bad news is we quickly realized there's a handful of holes in the product that need to be fixed since the support requirements for on boarding new clients was killing us. I'd really like to address that and (re)launch with some local talent.
I've been involved with a number of startups - including my own - over the years. My strengths are marketing, sales and software. We moved to Boulder a few years ago and just love the total experience along with the work/life balance.
It definitely addresses a need for directly connecting entrepreneurs and developers. Maybe there could be complimentary Meetups for match making other important startup roles like sales, marketing and design.
