Play Eurogames!

Please sign up and bring your games along and meet others for a fun evening of gaming. Newbies welcome.  Incidentally, many of our regular players no longer bother to sign up (but I really wish they would!), so if it looks like only one or two people are coming, there could actually be quite a few more.  Remember, I will always cancel a game Meetup if we aren't gaming that day, so you won't be sitting there all by yourself waiting for a friend.    $1.00 will be charged to cover the cost Meetup charges and the cost of buying games for the group.

Considering the "member count" of this group, it's really sad that nobody posted a comment about a potential "delayed start" or anything like that of the May 11th meetup - the day after a GASP day - when nobody showed up for at least 20 minutes at the beginning - not even the organizer - while my wife and I sat there waiting. We live in the South Hills, so this past weekend wasn't a good weekend to see if "anybody would show up" again, knowing that the Squirrel Hill Tunnel heading back home was going to be closed, so we didn't come out. Unfortunaately, it's going to take a little more time to convince my wife to give you guys another chance and actually come out.

Actually, there were 2 people there at 1:30, but you just didn't see them because they weren't gaming yet; just sitting and talking and waiting for others to arrive. But since you don't know anyone in the group yet, you didn't recognize them. I also noticed that you didn't sign up that you were going to attend. The others wouldn't know to look for 2 new people if you hadn't signed up. We have a GREAT group of people who come and play games. They are kind, considerate and patient while teaching newbies to play. Brian even took the time to write to you in my absence because he was concerned about you. Now that's MY kind of group and I'm proud of them. It's a shame that you didn't just relax and have a cup of coffee and wait for a little longer until others (besides the 2 guys who were already there) arrived and started playing. You might have had a great time!

Oh, and by the way, I DID post that day that I would be out of town for a week starting on May 11th. Did you see that? I always try to be very considerate of my fellow Eurogamers and let them know what's going on, sometimes by posting it on the website and other times I just tell them verbally. And by the way, you don't have to go through the Squirrel Hill Tunnel at all, so that's not really an issue.

Hi! This is kind of lame, but I have no idea how to play Catan. Is there any chance someone could quickly teach me?

We typically decide which games to play based on who is there and what we bring, i.e. no advance schedule. That being said Catan is fairly common and someone should have it there.
