Batamba ... at Club Cafe

Batamba is a heart-pounding, foot-stomping rhythmic explosion that captures the infectious grooves of West Africa, the French Antilles, Brazil, and the Caribbean.

Founded in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania the band is a special blend of electric and baritone guitar, horns, percussion, and more percussion that could easily blend into the street festivals of Carnaval in Cuba, Rio, or New Orleans, and is sure to get you moving and smiling.

The group features Dan McMillan and Gordon Nunn on percussion, Victor Ruiz on baritone guitar, Nathan Frink on saxophone, and Johna Bagnato who is the lead guitarist as well as a vocalist and songwriter. Each member brings a pretty hefty skill-set to the table, but the thing that binds it all together is the rhythmic undertow, guaranteed to pull the audience away from the shores of bland music in the most positive way.

Of note is that some of these musicians also perform with the band Nefarious Frink Gwokestra.

We're on the way. I'm wearing a black/fuschia/gold dress and flats while John is wearing white shirt and khaki shorts.

Bobbie - can you try to save me a seat? I'm going to try to get there between 6 and 6:30.

Can someone save at least one for me? I have a disability that makes it hard for me to stand for more than 10 to 15 minutes without being susceptible to fainting or falls (sort of just go limp without losing conscious). It strikes me most often when I have to stand still and makes a line at checkout stores impossible. Really need to get a disability 'ID" for stores.

Hello Everyone, I'm looking forward to attending. My only issue is work I often end up working longer than anticipated on Fridays something also comes up. So I'm hoping tomorrow will be different. I will be bringing 1 other person not 10 that was a typo. I'm looking forward to meeting new people
