Mah Jong in Shadyside! (Note: beginner class at 6PM tonight!)

Join us for American Mah Jong! If you would benefit from Mah Jong 101.... ie if you are a beginner or if you have not played in many years - note that there is a separate meetup tonight (starting at 6:00) for beginners. We highly recommend that you take a Mah Jong 101 class if you are a beginner, or if you have not played for a very long time.

Please order your 2013 card from the National Mah Jongg League, here: http://www.nationalmahjonggleague.org/ Amazon.com also carries the cards. Note that you want the NMJL card, and no other! (There are some colorful alternatives out there.. but we play NMJL card and rules.)

We will be happy to loan you a card for the game on Tuesday while you wait for your card to arrive!

On your RSVP please note whether you are a beginner (have never played, or have not played in many years, or have played once but would like Mah Jong 101 one more time), an intermediate (have played at least once, and feel comfortable playing without a lot of coaching), or an experienced player.

Experienced players -- please bring your cards and please bring a set if you have one.

I will start with the beginners at 6, and the other tables will begin at 6:30. If you are going to be late, or if you need to cancel, I will appreciate a note on the meetup, or a call or text [masked]) - this helps me to figure out the right setup for tables.

Please do not bring any outside food or beverages into Panera! Instead, please plan to buy *something* from Panera, even if it's just a beverage or a cookie, to support their willingness to host us.

No cost to play... but I request a $1 donation to defray the cost of running the meetups.

if it would help I could come on at 6 rather than 6:30 to assist for a little while
