April's Meetup is in a NEW LOCATION: We will be at the Alphalab on the Southside, 2325 East Carson Street. We'll have a projector, and Alphalab will be providing beverages. Most likely we will be back at our usual location in May.
The topic of this month's Meetup will be Aesthetic Heuristics, or How to Make Stuff Look Good. I will present on how web developers can apply some basic principles of design to make their web applications more visually appealing. With the help of the projector, this should be an interesting talk.
In addition, we will have the usual banter about PHP and related technologies.
Thank you to the Alphalab for allowing us to use their venue this month. Those of you who are not aware, the Alphalab is a web technology incubator. Each cycle they choose around a dozen startup companies to invest money and expertise to get them further along. They are currently accepting applications, so if you've got the next Google, or even Meetup on your mind, be sure to apply soon. For more details, check the Alphalab Application Overview.
