Hi I'm Frank,
I'm the guy that sets up the Cathedral of Learning Stairclimbs and I used to be a more active winter hike organizer and I decided to get out of retirement and do another beginner moderate hike.
Doing a small loop hike that is very scenic, there will be hills but we will take our time. The loop will be 2 miles on road and then a three mile loop through scenic wilderness. This is not hard but there will be some hills. We will be going at a slow pace. So if you are a power hiker, this hike isn't for you. It will still be a workout for beginner and moderate hikers and fun.
Meet at my house at 10:30am SHARP and we'll start walking at 10:45am one mile to the woods trail loop by a scenic Creek Trail. This is one private property where I have permission to hike.
What to bring: Warm clothes, water bottle or camel back and hiking stick.
Afterwards we will go to a local Chinese Buffet, which costs less than $10's and is very tasty.
This hike is not dog friendly. Although I will have my two large dogs on this hike. (there are coyote traps on trail, plus my one dog cc is male dog aggressive and don't want to risk issues).
FYI: CC and KT (KT is the larger one and is the puppy).
