Hola compa?eros,

Our friends at Pitt, the Amigos del Cine Latinoamericano, are back with a great lineup of free weekly (or almost weekly) Spanish-language films running through mid-December. All films include English subtitles and are typically presented at 6:30 pm on Wednesdays or Thursdays at Pitt's Frick Fine Arts Auditorium at Schenley Plaza in Oakland, across the street from the main Carnegie Public Library. Exception: Thursday, Oct. 31, features a screening at the Mattress Factory on the North Side, including refreshments and a discussion with the director. Check out the Amigos blog for updated information and to learn more. http://amigosdelcinelatinoamericano.blogspot.com/

This semester?s films focus on Cuba. I?ve posted the listings to our calendar. However, please note these gatherings ARE NOT official Spanish Language Meetup Group events (which is why they are entered on the calendar as Notes, not official Meetups for which you will receive automatic e-mail reminders). As such, Meetup organizers and other members may -- or may not -- be present.

These note-postings on our calendar are simply to make you aware of some of the Spanish-language offerings in our community. As always, any member can post a message on the Pgh Spanish-Language Meetup Message Board (http://www.meetup.com/spanish-150/messages/boards/ ) to coordinate outings with other interested members.

Hasta pronto,
Bonnie
