Great, how wonderful, Diana & Francisco.  Sounds to me you both could help alot in this fun, noble endeavor.   good luck to all.
Thanks all.  I cc my personal email id above.  If Hanna, Diana & Francisco could please reply with personal email ids, then no need to cc others in this thread going forth.
i had 1 yr of Spanish myself & took ESL classes as a 13 yr old teen immigrant from Taiwan.  It took me 2-3 hard studying years to become proficient in English way back.  I memorized 10-20 words a day, watched alot of TV, (somewhat ruined my eyes), practiced alot w/ people around me. I eventually became better in English than Chinese language.  Once you started dreaming in a language, then you are on your way to be fluent.  Nowadays, even though it's good to learn popular foreign languages, i came to believe in having English as a global or universal language because most people speak it or learning it anyway.  Thus communication would be much better.  can't imagine using typewriter w/ 1000+ Chinese characters. English only has 26, much better.  Can you?

You all have a prosperous, lucky chinese dragon new year.  See u in future meet ups.

Subject: RE: [spanish-150] Bilingual (Spanish-English) tutor sought for high school student

Hi there,

I've been on this e-mail chain for a while, but I've never gone to a Meet Up!  I only have a few semesters of college Spanish under my belt, but I teach English as a Second Language to adults full time.  I also teach GED prep classes.  (The GED is the test used to prove high school proficiency for those who never graduated from an American high school.)  If the Spanish requirement is at all flexible, I could possibly help. I have daytime availability on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Thanks!

Diana
