Crop to Crock - the art of making Sauerkraut

We'll meet at the Millvale Community Center then travel down the street to harvest guaranteed-uncertified organic cabbage at the Walker homestead. Then back to the community center where we will process our freshly harvested cabbage. Class includes instruction by long time sauerkraut crafter Tina Walker, equipment, ingredients, and enough cabbage to ferment five pounds of your own sauerkraut. You will leave the community center with your shredded cabbage in a food grade container to continue the fermenting process at home. Cost: $20, Class size: Limited to 20 people. How did everyone's sauerkraut turn out? I've had some great feedback from a few of you. And those have since gone on to make even more!

Thank you all for attending the class. You were such a fun group, and and I had a great time sharing with you what I know about sauerkraut making.
Please keep in touch, and if you have any questions or have some special skill that you would like to teach in your own class at our community center, don't hesitate to email or call.
It's always exciting to learn a new skill and meet new folks.

I had the same problem as Chris did. I'd like to join, but don't know if I can pay when I get there.

When I called to register on Friday, the office was already closed... should I try to show up and see if there is room?

Hi! I signed up for the class and paid through PayPal. My boyfriend will also be attending, but we'd like to work on the same batch. Should we pay another fee to enroll him or does the $20 cover us both? Thanks!
