6th Annual PGE Planning Meeting

This year we are back and more organized than ever!  We are your best source for FREE GARDENING CLASSES AND NETWORKING EVENTS hosted by local, experienced gardeners.  We've participated and hosted over 100 meetups in the past 5 years, and we plan to continue offering topics including everything from basic gardening, wild-crafting, cooking, to advanced permaculture design.  From beginner to expert, we have something for everyone.

This "open-space" style meeting is for networking, feedback, and planning out the year's events schedule. If you'd like to learn, teach, or share about your backyard gardening skills, this is the place to be!

Come with ideas for workshops and workdays you'd like to see or be willing to lead. Dream about warm weather, and share your experiences gardening in the Burgh. Beginners and experts are invited to share.

Join Us:

To host or teach a gardening class in 2014
To meet and network with urban farmers and gardeners
To promote and share your neighborhood gardening projects
To give your all important feedback which keeps our group growing!

If anyone wasn't able to make this (or have thought of anything since) but wants to suggest classes, workshops, discussions, or workdays that they'd like to see happen or host this year, you can let me know or even post a meetup yourself (especially if there is one you want to teach). Also let me know if you've got spaces to share that we may host something or need help finding a space to use.

I look forward to helping. My schedule in the greenhouse gets crazy as we approach April. Hosting a workshop at the greenhouses in March might work.

Hello again, from PASA (http://pasafarming.org/). I thought I'd mention to folks that the next Sustainability Salon will be our third annual Food edition: http://marenslist.blogspot.com/2014/01/mar-15-sustainability-salon-on-food.html . Please send me your email (maren dot cooke at gmail dot com) if you'd like to be on the list for Salons, and especially if you might come to this one.

Hi y'all, I cannot attend as we are filming the last in a training series for current vendors and others involved in the Schwartz Living Market/1317 East Carson Street Project Saturday morning at the same time. Count SLM as a venue for PGE events in any way y'all can imagine! Please stop Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM! Go to http://1317eastcarson.blogspot.com and the Schwartz Living Market Facebook page for details. Note there will be a seed swap on site for three Saturdays in March. I look forward to seeing you there with seeds in hand! Thanks Ashley Paradox for planning the first ever Schwartz Living Market Seed Swaps! Elisa Beck :)

I'm excited to hear about plans and see what East Enders would want to see come to the library branch - we're trying to container garden again there and hold workshops.

Sorry I had to bail out. I forgot I have a class at Phipps Conservatory. Hope to make it to the next one!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
