Friends and Family -

It is with great honor that we announce that Thunder Mountain Lenapé Nation will be hosting Mr. Duane Martin Sr., and others of the Lakota Cante Tenza Okolakiciye, the Strongheart Warrior Society. This is an ancient Lakota Warrior Society that honors Crazy Horse and Sitting Bull among its members.

Join us August 27-28, 2011 in Saltsburg, PA to learn from this honored Warrior Society and its inspirational leaders! Teachings to include:

  • Lakota drumming, songs, dance
  • The significance of the White Buffalo to the Lakota
  • Ancient Lakota history and stories
  • Lakota resistance struggle
  • Life on the reservation
  • Decolonizing the mind
  • Native American solidarity
Dinner will be served Saturday evening, as well as breakfast and lunch on Sunday. We are asking that each family bring food to add to dinner and lunch, making them a true feast!

We will be collecting a donation of $20 per day. Proceeds will go to the Cante Tenza Okolakiciye to help them continue their work across the Nation.

RSVP on our Facebook Event Page, then visit to register.

For more information about the Cante Tenza, visit

Wanishi! See you there!
