words and ways to prevent conflict

Conflict is especially difficult for those who are empathic.  When an empathic parent is angry with an empathic child, the situation can escalate very quickly with no one winning.

However, these kinds of conflicts can also happen at school, work and other places where social interaction takes place.

What if you knew the kinds of language to use to prevent conflict?  What if you knew how to hold your body so that it too lowers the chance of conflict arising.

We will always have conflicts, but they do not have to escalate to yelling, arguing or physical acts.

Join us to learn how to create good results from conflicts, where everyone can win!

We are still on for Saturday! We are expecting about 2 to 4 inches in this area. Driveway will be shoveled and salted.

I appreciate everyone who has let us know you cannot attend so that others can.

Weather has me on the fence, if it is plowable snow, John has to work. I rather give up my spots to anyone on the waiting list.

My daughter and I butt heads all the time. When I look at her, I feel like I am looking in a mirror, She is psychic/intuitive. And, that's also annoying. I love her more than I can comprehend. The interesting thing, is that she is adopted. Did someone mention sacred contracts??? LOL

But why is it with only some? With my children, it is the one most like me that I find most intense feelings toward. I am more calm with the other two or our conflict interaction is not as intense.

From day one this child has been a thorn in my side, EVERYDAY. With trying to break poor parenting cycle and change me, I seem to fall back to the yelling. Granted I know I have issues, but would like to break the cycle so my offspring don't become me with their relationships.

Natalie, e-mail me at [masked] and we can talk about this in a less public forum!

This is such an important skill for all to know, but particularly those who are very sensitive to the feelings and thoughts of others.

Is this a pot luck meet up like the past 2 meet ups I have been to? Any charge for this meetup or donation basket?

      January 27, 2014

    • susan g.

All potlucks are donation based. We are planning some seminars for which we will charge, but not the potlucks.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
