For decades I've been reading the landscape, deciphering it's history, planning restoration projects - and imagining a future - where restoration is fueled: by a passion for the wild flavor or the graceful bend of a basket resprout still on the tree.
Putah Creek, Davis, Yolo County
Lots of species. Turkey stuffing with acorn bread is a favorite family recipe, with elderberry chutney.
Archery species, wild flavorings, etc, etc.
I'd like to lead: inventory and planning for restoration of useful plant habitats; walks on useful plants and ecology; developing iPhone field guides to plant uses and iPhone info tools for stewardship; and much more. I'd like to attend herbal medicine walks and workshops, etc.
"PlaceCraft & Li'l Rabbit build understanding & support for cultural approaches to landcare that celebrate and sustain useful plants, their habitats & associated crafts, livelihoods & culture - for the Master Weavers & the children's children."

Hi David, I'll let you guys know as soon as we get things moving. We're meeting with USFWS next week to finalize the initial award amount. I'm really excited about the project, and you and Susan would be wonderful folks to give us ideas, help, and inspiration.
Hi David, I am looking forward to meeting you. Seems like we share many of the same interests. I am keenly interested in local stewardship and preserving wild areas. I also enjoy the privilege of homeschooling and the freedom we are gifted with by this choice. My daughter and I love to get out and explore.
