Welcome Mommies & Babies!!

I wanted to start this group to meet other 1st time moms with infants up to one year old. I am hoping to create lasting friendships for us moms, our children and ultimately our husbands and families. I am hoping to meet moms who share a similar parenting style. I am a fan of Dr. Sears, co-sleeping & babywearing but I am not a fanatic. I mainly breastfeed, I think organic food is the best for my baby, but I am not a hippy=) I know this baby time is a short season of my life and will miss it when it is gone, therefore I would rather rock my baby to sleep than let him "cry it out". I believe in the power of prayer and I enjoy going to church with my husband and son, but I am not a “holy roller” and won’t give you a bible for your birthday! I am a strong believer that the key to raising a healthy and happy child is balance and strong family values. If you share any of these beliefs, please join this group, we are excited to meet you and your baby!!
I am hoping to plan a range of activities including play dates, moms only evenings, couples nights, and family outings. I would like to keep the group on the smaller side so that we can get to know each other well. I would like to plan about two events per month. I hope that you are able to attend as many as you can, but there is no minimum amount of meetups that you must attend. I am so excited to get this group going!! I know we will meet some great mommies and babies!!
