I have to canc. sorry something came up. I look forward to seeing everyone next month!
Hey everyone! I am very exited for tomorrow. I hope to see a lot of people there.
We can discuss the book situation at the meetup. We want to always choose a book that is easily accessible. So, going with a different book for June is a good idea. We can pick it tomorrow - so far the suggestions sound interesting!
OK, so I know we picked the book for June, but I have a July suggestion. Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline. I've heard great things about it and I REALLY want to read it.
Just a thought I wanted to throw out there. I'm looking forward to Sunday!

Orphan Train sounds really good! I guess I missed what the June book is going to be... Can someone enlighten me? (This week will be my first meeting!)
Rebecca, Orphan Train sounds like a great suggestion. The other book that we were talking about is Sand Dollar by Sebastian Cole. However, there is a problem with it. I checked Amazon and there was a 2-3 week delivery wait. So I went to Barnes and Noble and they didn't have it. The salesperson checked on it for and it turns out that the book is self-published, rather than published commercially. So they have to print it specifically for each individual order and it seems to take a lot of time. So those of us "paper readers" would probably have a problem getting a copy.
Hmm... Sorry, I didn't notice that. It's not up to me, but we may need to pick a different June book at Sunday's meeting. I guess we could pick June and July then.
How about Orphan Train for June?
I'll be there, but I too have not read the book. The end of the semester is just too busy. I hope everyone enjoyed it and can hardly wait to hear how much.

I am excited for the meetup this Sunday!! Unfortunately, I have not been able to read this one!! I have been moving! But of course, that doesn't really matter. We will all have a good time just hanging out and hearing what those who read it thought of it.
It will be at the Bj's right off hwy 75. :) I am sad to miss those who cannot make it! I look forward to seeing everyone and having a beer and some yummy pizza =P!

Did everyone like eating at Kelly's Eastside? I will be moving into one of this apartments in downtown Plano the weekend of this meetup, and would like to keep it close! If you do not want Kelly's again, what restaurant in downtown Plano would you like to go? =]

Since I will miss this meetup my vote does not count. But I did like Kelly's eastside
Kelly's was fine. We also talked about BJ's Brewhouse, but might be too loud (?).

I'm good with anything you choose. I do like Kelly's though. I'm not sure what else is around there, to be honest. That's kind of sad since I live 4 miles away.
I love Kelly's.

Sad I will have to miss this time. But it would be wrong for the guest of honor to miss her own birthday party. ;)

We'll miss you Kelly! But have an awesome birthday party!!

Finished reading it this week. I liked it a lot. I felt the last chapter was a bit self-indulgent on the part of the author....interested to hear what others think.
