History of Blood Vessel Disease: Who Acquires it and Why

Over the past couple of years we've covered an amazing array of topics on preventing and reversing heart disease.

Members who attend these Meet Ups have gained an impressive amount of health information that is not readily available to the general population.

Now, as a review for regular members, and to provide an opportunity for the new members, we will begin watching Dr. Esselstyn's lectures presented in his workshops at he Cleveland Clinic.

The first lecture for our March Meet Up covers the history of blood vessel disease, who acquires this food borne illness and why. You will come away with a greater understanding of vascular disease and why it occurs. Group discussion and Q&A will follow. See you there!

Great meeting! It always amazes me how I acquire new information even though I consider myself up on nutrition news. Only Dr. Esselstyn talks about how much nitric oxide we have available as children and how this changes due to the Standard American diet and how we can heal by getting more of that nitric oxide back into our diet. He goes to the cellular level which few can explain like him, which is nice considering my lack of science education. Thanks Carol for providing this great free resource, and I don't have to fly to Cleveland to hear it! Also I have a top notch nutritionist answering and clarifying questions. Thanks again!

Thank you Wendy for your comments. It's always so good to have you at our meetings and I love sharing the success story that you and Ed have as a result of changing your diet.

It's always a pleasure to be with the great people that are attracted to this meet up. Last night was no exception. There were many new faces and a great mix of long time plant based followers as well! A great group as we journey together to learn more about preventing and reversing heart disease - the major cause of death in the U.S.

Very informative presentation helped me understand what is really happening in blood vessels and how easily our diet greatly impacts the process.

Appointments in city may run late (especially with rush hour traffic) so though, I'll try to make it, may not be on time. Would love any info on this topic if possible to obtain.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone! I might be a bit late but I will make it. It helps me so much stay on track and get new ideas. And I need both as I missed a few meetups. I will try not to be disruptive if I am late.

Is there anyway that this session can be video taped? I want to attend but it is too far for me to travel during the week. I really want to know more about this topic.

    • Carol D.

Hi Zoey; the presentation itself will be a videotape of Dr. Esselstyn giving the talk he presents to the people attending his workshop at the Cleveland Clinic. I will see what I can find online to send to you. the discussion that follows with people on the diet is what becomes valuable. I hear you about timing. Let me see what I can find. Also, we have people who do come in from the city it you ever want to ride along. I'm not sure how that works for timing for you.
