After seeing the documentary "Forks over Knives" and attending Dr. Esselstyn's workshop at the Cleveland Clinic my eyes were opened to the undisputed benefits of his plant based diet and we have first hand experience of the benefits.
However, since the inception of this meet up, the knowledge and application of plant based nutrition has evolved to a deeper level and members have greatly benefited. We have broadened our scope for preventing not only heart disease but all chronic illnesses that are diet related and our name has been updated from solely Preventing Heart Disease to the more accurate name, Plant Based Nutrition for Life.
This meet up focuses on the education, support and meeting other "like minded" people on similar journeys. It's unique in it's approach which is the best of scientific knowledge combined with the practical application of how to make it work for you.
