We haven't had fun in so long (been working hard, just found a regular sitter), we don't remember. Think it probably involves food, drinks, and any movie that does not pause so you can spell a word or involve characters that can be found on kids underpants. We like board games (not scrabble. my husband and his family take this game WAY too seriously. very nice people, except with letter tiles. bad, bad scene.). Bowling was surprisingly fun with couple friends. Terrifically bad karaoke is SUPER fun - either at a bar or home (our cable channel had this, and it was awesome when we discovered it. Shame not required.) Whisky and wine tastings were fun. And we'd like to go hiking. I did a lot of that when I lived here years ago, but haven't done that recently. We played softball until Keith hurt his knee, but truthfully I sucked royally. I'd rather do a less ego-crushing (for me) sport - like kickball. Or tag. Basically anything you could do at recess is where I am.
Hmm - no idea. We're pathetically "coupled" - our family is kind of always together. We like being together, and don't just do stuff together, we are all in the same room together at home. We kind of move en masse - it's very strange. I used to be such a loner... :) Generally, we're laid back (he's more laid back than I am), not huge drinkers, love trying new things. I'm not really in the mommy and me crowd, so we have some friendships with our kid's friends' parents, but they aren't really the type of friends we had before.
We're new to Playa Vista, and not long in LA. We have a fabulous 4 year old (named my company after her), and her fabulous "brover" (brother), Snuffy (yes, he's a dog. We have some identity issues in our house). NO COUPLE FRIENDS - this is great!
