“In the long history of humankind...those who learned to collaborate and improvise most effectively have prevailed.” -Charles Darwin

"Having attended four of Leif's events, I can say without a shadow of doubt, that Playformation is one of the quickest, easiest and most fun ways to discover and get to know yourself -- your strengths, fears, doubts, hopes, dreams and possibilities -- and to create a new normal." -Ruth Hartman

"The improv lessons and warmups allowed me to get out of my shell and open up to the possibilities in front of me.And the exercise we did at the end where we acted out some potential future self was particularly moving for me. Being able to look at ourselves from a different point of view was somewhat transformative" -Brandon Scalf

Deep down inside you know that life is truly amazing, that your potential is way more than you're currently expressing, and that you ache to be living life as fully as possible. You know that if you could learn to tap into some deeper source, your freedom, creative output, confidence, caring presence and experience of engaged, intentional living would skyrocket. But like so many of us, you find that you keep bumping up against all too familiar limiting beliefs and fears.

These limiting beliefs and fears block your ability to experience deeper satisfaction & success in work, relationships and other dimensions of your life. Where the heck did these limitations come from? How do we move beyond them?

Like the rest of us, you've tried various approaches to get past your fears & limitations: "work harder", "pretend they don't exist", "read self-books", "attend lectures", "get therapy", "drug them away", "self-talk your way out of it", etc. Through all these attempts you've come out with some great insights, learned about yourself and even had a few breakthroughs -that's great! However, more often than not, the changes were superficial, didn't last, or involved other costs that made you wonder if it was really worth it. Why is that? What's going on?

I've found that they're at least three key dimensions that tend to be missing from traditional approaches. The first is that they don't engage us as a 'whole' person (minds, bodies, emotions, spirits and creative imaginations). The second is that they rarely give us the opportunity to feel safe & free enough to access our core -exercising core faculties that make us human like our ability to trust, to make authentic choices, to playfully create and to make meaningful connections with each other. The third missing aspect is that tend to take themselves too seriously -they're missing the fun! If we're aiming for change, surely it's so that we can enjoy our lives more, yes? If so, shouldn't the process be mostly enjoyable as well? How likely are we to stick through the process of change if it's mostly a boring, frustrating or otherwise unpleasant experience?

Following our sense of fun is actually how we 'grew up' --by playing, pretending, creating and 'testing' out life. But sadly, most of us stopped, letting those fears & limiting beliefs shut down our full potential.

That's why we need Playformation. Come join us for some serious play!

“You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation.” -Plato

"I really, REALLLLLY miss playing! I moved here 10 years ago from crazy California where it seemed I always had an outlet for this side of myself. Now the only play I get is with my cats..."

"I have always lived by the principle espoused by author Tom Robbins; "When they tell you to grow up, they mean stop growing!". Being playful comes naturally to me. Also had experience with creative play/improv as a former member of a theatre group."
