There are some pretty awesome and clever folks out there. We'd like to get a bunch of them together to talk about challenges in business and technology, especially where the two converge.
This is a social experiment to bring technologists and role players in business areas other than software and technology together to explore opportunities and discuss the different approaches taken by various industries in dealing with common challenges.
The name "PlugMeet" comes from the idea that every attendee has 2 minutes for a shameless plug at the start of the meeting.
Every attendee must bring one other person who is not involved in same line of business as the attendee.
All attendees should bring a good amount of experience in their respective fields to the table; and have an active interest in driving change within organisations by educating people and optimising processes.
Every attendee must present a brief introduction(~2 minutes) on what they can do, projects that they are working on, things they've done. The goal is to highlight personal skills and achievements, not those of their employer.
As a starting point for discussion, a base topic will be chosen for each meetup, but there is no structure to the discussion other than the rules above.
All of this will happen monthly over breakfast or lunch.
