Sing Out at the Time Out Lounge! Friday Night Karaoke

We will be trying out a new place this Friday, August 2nd at 9:00 PM at the Time Out Lounge in Independence.  John C, our resident Karaoke King, has scouted this location and says it's a great place for those who are serious about having fun!  Even if you are not a person who likes to get up and sing, it's still fun to sing along with the well known songs...there's just something about "Sweet Caroline" by Neil Diamond and Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" that makes us all want to sing along!  There are also the occasional  bad performances...but also great performances that make you feel like you should have paid for the great impromptu concert you're experiencing!

Feel free to join us even if you're not a performer, and invite friends and coworkers, the more the merrier.  See you Friday night for a cheap, fun night out with a friendly group!

Time Out Lounge  10215 E. US 40 Hwy. # A
Independence, MO 64055
[masked]

Here's a review of the bar from The Pitch:
Time Out Lounge is a lot like your coolest friend’s basement circa 1998, complete with tunes by Dave Matthews Band, Fiona Apple and Eminem. The open space has a bar and a few tables at one end, flat gray carpeting, and four well-maintained pool tables. The laid-back hang was expanded earlier this year to make room for the pool tables, nearly doubling the size of the place, and it now feels like a miniature pool hall -- especially Mondays through Wednesdays, when league play takes over. The staff is friendly and the drinks are cheap, making this an ideal stop on the way home from a Royals or Chiefs game.

It was fun. We had 6 people and it wasn't too crowded. The KJ ,Jerry , was really nice and even helped me out with a song.

We had a great time at Karaoke at this little bar, and there wasn't much of a crowd, so we got to sing all we wanted! The KJ was a nice guy named Jerry, and did his best to find us even more songs than the thousands listed in the book... We got to witness some great performances by our members and other patrons, including a guy who's probably in his 90's... Nino!

Online directions say to take I-70 West, then get off on Hwy 40/exit 7A, and take Highway 40 all the way, about 3.5 miles... If you hit Sterling you've gone too far. Hope there's not too much traffic and construction!

If you live near here, let us know if you have other directions for those heading from the West side of town :)
