I might not be able to attend tonight. I am buying/selling a house. I don't think I can get to all of the reading. When I double-space here is what I got: Keith, Pentinent, 19 pages -- H, Summer, 16 pages --
Sharen, 25 pages and an extra 3 pages -- Nancy, 28 pages -- Guy - three short poems.

Hi everyone: I am new and the next meeting would be my first one. I can't find the files of the people to be critiquing? Kind of confusing where am i supposed to post the comments?

Hi Sandra, I'm new too and I was having some issues. Still not sure if I have it straight, but I can direct you to where the files are.
At the top of the screen, go to "More" then "Files". Everything is in there, though I am still not sure I have everything straight as to which files we are supposed to read. I'm going to make my best guess for the selected authors and bring physical copies to the meeting.

Hello, Sandra. I am happy to hear you are willing to have someone critique your work because I feel the same way! If you want to send me some of your writing as an attachment, I'd love to look at it. My email is [masked] What is your memoir about? Mine is about personal challenges leading to growth and self-acceptance. Looking forward to hearing from you!

I've got a question. I see WHO is supposed to be posting for this week, I'm just not sure WHAT we are to read and comment on. Is it everything they post? One person has posted like 2 chapters of their novel. That's fine, I'm just not sure if we'll be discussing both chapters or just one.
Now, when it says that the post is for "anyone" vs "only members of this meetup group", does that let us know what will be the subject? I'm trying to get this straight so I can avoid printing out a million pages.

Shane, the intention is to comment on one piece of work submitted by the five members selected for review at the specific meeting. We try to abide by a rule of thumb of 6 - 8 pages max for each work, because otherwise it becomes too burdonsome to critique. You can probably ignore the "anyone" vs "only members of this meetup group" designation, because we don't use that to differentiate the work. Thanks for being so diligent about this.

Hi, I'm interested in attending. I'm new and don't know much about this process. Is there a fee or do you all just show up?

Ok, so I go to "More" then "Files". And we are reading the top 5 files? Do you all typically print the excerpts out and make notes on the copies?
      :-D

The files to read for the July meeting are those from Nancy, H, Sheron, Guy and Keith. Most people edit the files and save the edited version back onto the site, and some bring a hardcopy of their edits to the meeitng as well.
