Run Your Scene

  • Jun 9, 2014 · 7:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Got a scene you're working on?

Need a place to air out your creative process?

In this group you will find:

- a place to run scenes you are working on for auditions, films, and theater projects.

-  a supportive, creative environment in which to work on developing your own methods and process as a budding filmmaker and/or actor.

- the opportunity to observe and learn from others.

- a chance to act in or direct scenes.

If you plan on coming, please RSVP, and bring:

Scripted material you want to work on, 3-5 pages max, or something comparable. Don't forget copies for the people you may want to read for you. Or just show up and improvise a scene you've been thinking about. Or just show up!!

Cost - $5.00

Also, please be aware that this is not a group critique, and that we divide up the time as evenly as possible for people to get a chance to work on their own thing. When it's your turn, you are in charge of your time - so please feel free to be explicit with the group about what sort of assistance/ feedback you want or don't want. You can direct your own piece or ask someone else to be the director. Ask other members to act for or with you in a scene. When the times up we keep it rolling along to the next scene..

If you are not working in or on the scene at hand, we ask that you please offer feedback only when specifically asked by the person directing or running the scene being worked on at that time. This way people have space to explore their creative process at their own pace.

Oh yeah, please be on time - it works best to have everyone present from the start. If you're driving I recommend you head out early since parking in Harvard Square can be a @#%*!

Look forward to seeing you there!

Best,
Robert

p.s. we meet in the library room
