Quirks of the Bishop Pine Forest

The mature Bishop Pine Forest existed for thousands of years on the many hills of Point Reyes National Seashore. Since the Vision Fire of 1995 much of this older forest was destroyed and the trees are growing back over the once charred hills. Join Cathleen for a brief ecological tour of the mature and not-so-mature Bishop Pine forest, learn the ecology, other unique adaptations and the love-hate relationship this pine has with fire.
