Join master mapmaker Tom Harrison and look at the different kinds of maps that have been used to describe the trails, facilities, and ownership boundaries of the Point Reyes National Seashore. We will talk about the research and field mapping methods used to make those maps. We will also look at the kinds of maps that are being developed today and explore the possibilities for mapping in the future. We will discuss the use of GPS units, smart phones and other personal devices and how they fit into mapping both today and in the future. Also open to youth (age 15-17) with adult attendance.
