Re: [poker-1012] Poker4LifeL WPT event thursday night

I have 1 question and 1 suggestion. How long are the blind levels? For this event, or more likely future events, it would make more sense to make the starting chip count 10,000 (instead of 5,000) being that the blinds start at 100/200. 5,000 in chips only gives 25 big blinds instead of the standard 50.

Jay.

Regarding re-buyins, what will be the $$ vs chip ratio? In other games I've played its almost not worth doing, like 50.00 gets you 800.00 in chips (when the original buy-in) provides 3 or 4 times that.

Cheers

A special announcement from Corey from Poker4Life, Organizer of Poker4Life: Charity Poker Tournament

There will be unlimited rebuys and add-ons (no restrictions, as all proceeds are going to charity) for a designated amount of time (the tournament director will explain before the tournament begins). You can even add on before the tournament begins if you desire. The good thing is that $5000 is alot of chips to work with, so good poker will usually prevail in those situations.

Best of luck to all, and let me know if you have any more questions.

I had no idea you could rebuy and/or add-on...that is actually not good...but anyway, what are the rules for that? Is it unlimited rebuys for the first three rounds...or only one rebuy...and how exactly does the add-ons work...you have have to be below a certain amount...do they allow double-add-ons?

In response to someone's question about chip stack:

$5,000 in chips for $250
Blinds start at $100-$200.

The poker tournament is run professionally, we have a tournament director, trained dealers, a screen showing round times and levels, etc.

there will be opportunities for rebuys and add-ons.
