Anna: After 2 days in Warsaw, I am now in Lodz. Wonderful pastry, food, and sights. Have eaten Pierogi's, duck, mushroom soup, and sausage almost hourly. Was introduced to hot beer with cinamon & cloves, different but good. Went to the inspiring Museum of the Uprising this afternoon. Great trip so far.

I take it this meetup is mundane and does not do anything outside of ad platform for an event that is only once a year. Like gee. ?

This event is once a year. There are other events through the year. Upcoming will be an event on November 2nd- much smaller food festival - "Taste of Poland" , then in the beginning of December there will be Polish Christmas Eve celebration.

I am looking forward to this Festival next year!! I miss polish cooking and food. My grandmother and mom used to cook polish foods because we are 3/4 polish and 1/4 German and I was raised eating polish meals. Pierogi was very common in my family while growing up.

In Columbus, GA; there isn't any polish stores or restaurants. Only German.

My uncle used to tell me the polish men would get together and make real polish sausage during the holidays.

PS. I am originally from Detroit, Mi and my great uncle used to own polish bakery in Hamtramck, MI and oh those coffee cakes and angel wings were great.

I wished my mom left some recipes of polish meals before she passed away. She didn't write them down. She did cooking by memory.

I would love to learn to cook them also.
When I went to Poland I loved the fruit filled and also love potato ones.
Anyone make them home made and sell them around here? I would be there.....
I missed the Festival -- so sad...

Wonderful festival. I'd love to have a cooking class for all of us who were our grandmother's helpers. I watched and was the helper but never made things alone! HELP!

My family would gather and make everything! Even kishka, ( blood meat) (spelling).
Personally I eat out 24/7! I raised my children since they were 5&6. I swore I would never cook again!!!!
I walk out of the train depot in Warsaw, pass the holiday inn, then their is Burger king!!

Once the date is set for another Polish Festival, I'm going to make sure I don't miss it at all. Sounds like all who attended had a wonderful time.

Hello! There are 56 people from this group planning to attend! That is great! FYI - Krakowiacy - Folk Dancing group from Denver will have 4 performances on the outside near the stage under the big oak tree: 1:30 - Polonez for the beginning - traditionally Festival volunteers and members of the audience can join for this special dance - it is easy! The dancers will perform also at 2:30, 3:30 and the LAST - at 4:30. There are many other exciting elements of our program: Joanna Wojcik - vocal - Polish songs, Janusz Komor - Accordion, Polish Zumba (wear good sport shoes), DJ Eric with Polish Vintage Rock and more!!!

Vendor booths - among them Pierogi Festival merchandise. For kids inflatable playground, face painting, caricatures, farm animals, pony rides and more! Attorney Joseph Rosen will be giving short advice, free of charge. He specializes in the Immigration Law. A very interesting person, member of this group! Please stop by and say "Hi" to Joe. I will see you there!

Per discussion with Anna Holub, I'll be providing a sponsorship at the Festival again. As a return to the community I'll be providing free, short immigration consultations inside the hall from 1:00 to 5:00. Loking forward to seeing everyone there and tobgreat food.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
