It was GREAT ! So many smiling faces, so many people in line to buy the food, so many children walking out with Polish flags, and white/red flowers they made themselves, and paper coal miners hats! (that was very touching for me because I come from that part of Poland, and those hats are only worn on special occasions and state holidays.)I had a great time volunteering and meeting new people, and helping the Polish School. I hope everybody who visited liked it too. When can we do this again?

The food was fabulous, just like mom used to make!

Just heard about the movie "The Way Back" which is about a Polish army officer who escaped the Soviet Siberian camp with other prisoners and they endured hardships thru the desert and on to India. I see it is currently playing in Atlanta theaters...here is a review...http://blog.moviefone.com/2010/09/04/the-way-back-review/
Perhaps you could alert the Polish club members. This seems to be a busy month for things Polish. Hope to meet some of you at the exhibit. My parents were POW's.

Can't wait to be part of "Taste of Poland" ! I will be serving that "refreshing patato-vegetable salad" from my region, that is Upper Silesia.
