With each of the past two presidential elections Americans have had less confidence in the credibility of our elections. 49% of Republicans polled thought this election was stolen. Democrats thought Republicans did everything they could to stop minority voters. It is a dangerous situation to not have confidence in our voting. Peacefully handing over power to the next administration is basic to our democracy.
Carol Johnson, from Citizens for Election Integrity, will lead a discussion about the integrity of our elections here in Minnesota and throughout the country. What is going on out there that should scare us and what is being done about it.
Martin Luther King would be proud to see us spending “his day” discussing the protection of the right to vote and have honest elections!
