I'm really glad to see this group, lefties really are so much more fun then right-wingers. Although they do give us something to talk about. I enjoy intelligent conversation with like- minded people, which leaves most republicans out. I'm a free-thinker who likes to be around others to feel the same way I do about social and political issues. These are trying times for progressive people and it's great to have others around to commiserate with when the idiots in congress are doing there best to bring us back into the 15th century. I look forward to expanding my circle of friends. I'm the organizer of the Twin Cities Museum Meetup Group. I see several familiar faces, which is no surprise since most of the people I know well in the group feel the same way I do about social issues. I would like to invite anyone in this group to join us. We're a fun group too and have some lively conversations. I want to join this group, because nothing has been added to my FBI file in a while.
That it keeps growing and will become a group for people to build friendships and find some relief in knowing that there are a whole lot of progressive people out there who need time to socialize and to get our minds off the fact that change for the better may not happen anytime soon. I'll be glad to help anyway I can. My group keeps me extremely busy, I may not make it to a lot of events, but I'll always be there in spirit.
Hi, I'm an old lefty from way back with lots of stories to tell. I heard about this group from a friend who is not left-leaning. I shy away from any group that is dogmatic and tows a party-line, either left or right. I am not afraid to speak my mind.
