New Meetup: Birdemic: Shock and Terror

Announcing a new Meetup for Politics and Prose Science Fiction (and Fantasy) Bookgroup!

What: Birdemic: Shock and Terror

When: Friday, April 16,[masked]:00 PM

Landmark E-Street Cinema
555 11th St NW
Washington, DC 20004

Those of you interested in watching Birdemic: Shock and Terror on Friday April 16th, 2010 should buy your tickets ASAP. Last weekend they were having a screening in New York, and planned to only have one screen -- they sold out three, and the venue in Los Angeles has completely sold out for this weekend as of yesterday. It is getting a lot of buzz, and the more people who go, the more excited people get about it. It will only be in DC for two days so expect a crowd.

It is a midnight screening, but we plan to meet at around 11:00 inside the theater downstairs. If you can't make it on Friday, I will also be going on Saturday with some of the people from work.

If you haven't seen the preview, do so:

And keep in mind that this is an entirely serious film. I.e. The director did not intend either the obvious campy aspect nor the postmodern irony: These were just fortunate accidents.
