This is the first ever repeat of an Evening in. Last year in March we had An Evening in Morocco. The food was so amazing that it warrants a replay.
For this event, we will explore and create the intricate deep flavors of Moroccan cuisine. We will play with a wide variety of spices and ingredients, including preserved lemons, dried apricots, almonds, oranges, cumin, coriander and more.
As usual, the fee for this event will go toward the ingredients we will need to put together our Moroccan feast. I will shop and assemble a menu, do some of the preparations and create work stations, and then everyone can help create wonderful dishes together.
Then we will sit and dine!
For this event, I have planned a little twist: In the spirit of 1001 Nights, you will be asked to tell a short story. Throughout the evening, we will have fun listening to an array of tales from everyone. The story should be told, not read. It can be very short and not longer than 5 minutes. It can be original, retold, real, or fictional - just as long as it is interesting.
I will email wine suggestions and the menu before the event.
