Adelaide Port80 Meetup – May 2013

Speakers

Richard Fermi from DPTI will talking about Unleashed, the South Australian version of Govhack. From 31 May – 2 June, Unleashed is an open government data visualisation and mashup hackathon. There will be prizes. And also probably Redbull.

If that's not enough, Port80 regular Roger Noble will be talking about D3.js, a great visualisation framework.

These two talks together will inspire you to get hacking and visualising on open government and big data.

See you then!

    Hi All,
Thanks for last night. I've got a few links if you want to have a look at D3.js
    Main site - http://d3js.org
    List of examples + code - https://github.com/mbostock/d3/wiki/Gallery

I'll also put together a blog post with the code for the temperature demo by the end of the week.

    Cheers.

What were they like Richard? How many people got to the ones you went to?

Some interesting people there. Usually around 30+ people I guess. It was (is) held in a pub popular with the artsy uni crowd so a good grungy venue.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
