Best Engineered Album 2013 (and past)

I'm thinking that since the Grammy's were last night, and this years best engineered recordings have been decided, it would be fun to have a listening session here to listen to some selections from these albums:

Grammy Awards of 2013
Richard King (engineer and mastering engineer) for The Goat Rodeo Sessions, performed by Yo-Yo Ma, Stuart Duncan, Edgar Meyer & Chris Thile
Grammy Awards of 2013

Tom Caulfield & John Newton (engineers), Mark Donahue (mastering engineer) for Life & Breath - Choral Works by René Clausen, performed by Charles Bruffy & the Kansas City Chorale

Also I would like to play some recordings from years past winners. I have some from the non-classical genre, and would encourage guests to look to see if they have any of these they would like to bring:

I'm thinking the best date for me is the 24th of Feb., at 1:00 and would suggest we limit attendance to eight to ten as seating/space are a factor. Since we were here last year, there is a new power amp (Classe CA 2200) and turntable rig (VPI/Rega arm & Thomas Martins phono stage).

Sincere regards,
Dana

I wonder if Stevie Wonder's Innervisions is available on quad? Loved all the old songs... the memories. Thanks Dana! Great to meet everyone.

Regarding music, I suppose I'm the last person in the civilized world to find out that Norah Jones really can sing. That was a highlight for me, along with the Rene Clausen recording, also new to me. Finding music that moves me -- it doesn't get any better.

It was a lot of fun to hear music recorded since the late 1950s. I heard some interesting music, new to me, that will have to get into my collection. Thanks, Dana for hosting, and to Candace for hospitality and the cookies!

P.S. The Herb Alpert LP cover brought memories of an era gone. For more, see http://bizarrerecords.com/wordpress/
