As I heard it, it seemed to be a losing battle keeping bicyclists off the pedestrian sidepath, and they decided better to legalize and regulate it than prohibit and prosecute it. Kind of like pot. cool

Portland, Brunswick to get federal bike-share, parking aid
http://www.theforecas...
PORTLAND — Public transit riders may someday be riding bikes instead of buses, thanks to the city's selection last week as one of five communities nationwide for federal assistance in creating a local "bike-share" program.

Also, in this article about the new Bridge St. bridge in Westbrook, I especially like this line:
“We have found the city has a surplus of parking. People need to be willing to walk further,” [city planner Molly] Just said during the City Council meeting on Monday

Yesterday's story Portland City Council will consider plan for bus service, traffic flow isn't related to cycling, but happens to feature a nicely-positioned lane controlling cyclist in the picture.

YAY for demonstrating a good example of being a normal part of traffic! love struck

Anyone know who it is? Anyone here?

Maybe since she lied to the police she'll face more consequences. But the person who hit me and left the scene a couple of years ago didn't face many.
