This is one of the best thought-out pieces I've seen in a long time. Although it's primarily about cycling in NYC, it's applicable anywhere.

The title led me to expect greatness, but it was a little anti-climactic. It was good, yes, but not a "grand unified theory". I think the biggest strength of the article is that he makes a very good case for vehicular cycling, and the futility of bike lanes, without ever giving the impression that that is his goal.

I do have to say, though, that he comes down hard on wrong-way riders, but then blames the door-opening passenger for almost hitting him while he was riding too close to the parked cars in order to pass the stopped cars in the travel lane on their right.
