Hi All,
These cycling promotion videos from the Netherlands were new to me: There are 5 or 6 spliced together there. They are all great. Rather than focusing on any serious reasons for cycling, they make it look fun and sexy. Right on! http://www.youtube.co... |

Coolness, thanks, Jeremy! I wish I could understand the language. It would be nice to know what the voice in the elevator was saying! But I love the guy with the red blinkie on the back of his suit coller! :-) :-)
I'll get around to replying to your Bike Buddies idea sometime. It's a good idea, and I'm thinking it's something we could maybe coordinate with GoMaine. I'm focussed on the Bike Swap/Valet Parking this week, and Carey Kish at GoMaine is probably going to be swamped with CAWW for the several weeks. Edited by John Brooking on Apr 25, 2007 8:32 AM |

I posted this at BikeForums.net, and someone did a translation.
In the elevator scene, the first announcement is that the driver of the blue Saab forgot his parking brake. The second announcement is that the blue Saab has crashed into the yellow Lotus. In the scene with the psychiatrist and patient, the doctor is breaking the patient of his automobile slavery. The rest don't need much translation! ![]() |

Here's another cool transportational cycling advocacy video:
http://www.youtube.co... Basic message: If 1 million people replaced a 2 MILE car trip ONCE A WEEK with a BIKE RIDE, CO2 emissions could be reduced by 50,000 TONS per year. See here for details of the actual challenge. |
