Folding Bikes for Rent
Exclusively to members of this Meetup group!
Two Dahon 3-speed folding bikes are available for rent to club members. They both have 16" wheels, and fold to 28" wide x 18" high x 9" deep, with carrying bag. More photos may be found here.
Rates are $15 per bike for 3 days of use, $5 per day per bike thereafter. Money will go to a maintenance fund to keep the bikes in good shape.
If you are taking the bikes on Amtrak, all train conductors should be aware of the policy that folding bikes are allowed on board all coach cars. To be sure, you may want to print out and bring this memo that Amtrak sent to its employees in May 2007 stating such.
