June Blues!

Hi All;

Sorry for the late notice but the second weekend is fast approaching so time for another jam!

Same format as always, we're about coming together to enjoy this music we all love in whatever way we each want to participate. The more we all contribute the better the experience. If you want to lead a song, or take a lead in a song, great! If you want to play back-up that's great too, and if you just want to come and relax at a wonderful venue and just listen the more the merrier! If you'd like to post some songs or suggestions on the forum for us to look at ahead of time that's always welcome, and feel free to bring in music for us to follow at the jam as well. This is a jam for everybody regardless of skill level, there's plenty of other 'competitive' events around if you want to throw down so don't be shy, it really is all about the music.

Lets have a great turnout and keep the momentum going, let's turn up the heat for summer!

Hope to see you all there...

    It was good to see everybody and share some laughs. Thanks to those that tried to bring order from the chaos and those that sang, lead, tried and listened. Hopefully we can have a rhythm section next month and a better jam. They can't all be winners.

    Who's bringing a drumkit and how many drummers are showing up? 25 guitars, 7 harps, 2 keyboards and a horn section sounds like a good time, but might be good to have a rhythm section. Any drummers hiding in the woodwork from jams gone by that would lay down a little 12/8? Like Steve says, let's keep this momentum going!!! See all ya'll tomorrow.

    with my chronic GAS disorder, I'm always up for swap meets... I've got a Laney bass head gathering dust...

    One of these times we should think about having a swap meet the last 30-60 minutes of the jam. Or try out so-and-so's amp or pedal during the jam and then see where it goes from there. Or maybe just have it be a separate event all together. That way we wouldn't need to pay the crazy new shipping fees on the 'bay or deal with the flakes on CL. Maybe that's just what the message board is for, though. Are there any gear swap meets around already? Thoughts?

    Scott's out - can we get a drummer? BYO - drumkit. Maybe a bass player, too, while we're at it...
